Christmas Leftovers
Tell me......
Is there any better combination than leftover Christmas ham, atop the freshest of fresh white bread with lashings of dijon mustard?
[aside from the obvious addition of tomato and cheese...]
If there is I'd like to know about it.

Merry Christmas!!

December Madness!
Whenever December rolls around my life always seems to turn to chaos. My usual weeknights at home turn into dinners and drinks out with friends, and my weekend schedule of cleaning, washing etc seems to fly out the window. It seems I am far too busy eating out, shopping, drinking and generally being merry to worry about whether i have a clean shirt for work on Monday...
Having said this I will admit I have not spent a great deal of time in the kitchen lately, and therefore have not had much to post about. I have however, been eating my way around Melbourne, and thought I might indulge you with a few of the special gems that have settled themselves around my waistline of late. (Note to self: New Years resolution #1 - drop a few kgs...)

Check out this amazing crispy duck tortellini I had at Dogs Bar in St Kilda. Doesn't it look delicious? Well it was! Kind of like asian-italian fusion, as weird as that may sound... Highly recommended if you're around that way, washed down with a glass of Catalina Sounds Sauvingnon Blanc of course.
Next up we have probably the best BLT I've eaten in a really really long time - and trust me, I am a bit of a BLT connoisseur (if there is such a thing). You can find this bad boy at Bebida on Smith Street in Collingwood. Also the amazing corn & coriander fritters pictured below.... I didn't eat both, the fritter's were for my friend Julia, but she let me have a little taste :)

And even though this dessert was devoured in Sydney, it's too good to not post... If you're passing by Georges Mediterranean Bar & Grill in King St Wharf, I highly recommend you stop by... I can't remember what its called, but just ask for the yummy custardy strawberry thingy...

Hopefully with these tasty treats fresh in your mind you will forgive me for my slacking off this month!
